About Dibyendu Ukil

Growing up in Chinsurah, a Dutch colony on banks of river Ganga, artist Dibyendu Ukil got attuned to the abundance to nature and the architecturally eclectic ambience. His remarkable Ghats series provides glimpses of Varanasi Ghats, its narrow lanes, pious nooks, religious spots with sanctity in the early academic style of painting, with sincere attention to detail and vibrant hues.
